    “I have been in need of proper galoshes (“overshoes” to those who slavishly follow American English – very uncool) for some years. They are just not made, or sold, in the UK any more, that I can find, when 30 years ago they were always available in all sizes from all High street shoe shops. So I was delighted, but wary, when I found these galoshes – wary because I wondered if the XL+ size would really fit my shoes. However, yesterday, 4 days after ordering these galoshes, a DPD courier brought a well made white cardboard box to my door within which was a slim, well-made, zip-up portfolio within which were two splendidly made rubber galoshes XL+ size retained by elastic bands and a card of instructions. A superb example of quality design and manufacture! AND, they fit snugly, and cover properly, all my pairs of shoes – which are heavy, cordovan leather, thick leather-soled, very expensive brogues – black and chestnut in colour. I am impressed. I highly recommend these excellent galoshes. PS: I never thought that I would rave about a pair of galoshes but they really are superb!” – J.S., Nov 9, 2013

    “I have been struggling to find galoshes that fit my uk size 6.5 dress shoes (traditional Goodyear welted Loake Srand/Aldych leather soled shoes that I wear with a suit). I tried three different sizes of the Springyard galoshes but they were either too big and slipped off or a real struggle to pull on and unable to get the heel fully in place. The Springyard ones were otherwise good quality although I did not like the orange tab down the heel as this makes them less discreet..
    The best thing is that the small fitted perfectly first time. This small size would probably fit right up to the advertised size 8 for a slim design of shoe although I would be tempted to go up a size if I was a size 8 with a chunkier or welted shoe. Anyway, I hope this helps to inform your sizing and I would definitely recommend them.” – Smith, May 31, 2014
