“These pens are even more remarkable than the innumerable youtube videos can show. You must get these if you love to create tonal colors in your art. I have found that the darker colors need a longer count to create fainter tones. For example, I get the most beautiful shades with the lighter colors by marrying the points together for 10 seconds, but the darker purple, navy blue forest green, I had to count to 15 to 20 to get the same tones. I was surprised to see that in the 22 pen set there was 12 replacement nibs for the pens as well as a black detail pen and a blender pen PLUS the box itself is a storage box/easel that hold your pens at the perfect angle to pull them from. I suggest anyone buying these wonderful stamps to download or design your own timing chart. I made mine in Excel by making 4 columns and 25 rows. I made the rows long enough for me to squiggle the pen down to show the tones. The 4 columns were the times that I use, in seconds, 5, 10, 15 & 20. There are blank color charts available online somewhere I am sure. Buy these pens and enjoy the ease of tonal artwork.” – Saphyre R., Mar 22, 2015
